Made for a fourth rank official, embroidered in satin stitch technique, depicting a yellow goose facing the sun as it stands on a rock emerging from waves, flanked by flowers and tall rocks, amidst ruyi-shaped clouds, all in shades of blue, yellow, green, and white, within a couched gold thread border
10½ x 10.3/8 in. (26.5 x 27 cm.), mounted and framed
