ZHENGDE FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1506-1521)
The shallow rounded sides of the dish is incised and enamelled in green on the exterior with two five-clawed dragons pursuing flaming pearls amidst clouds and flame scrolls, the short foot with a single-line border, all against an iridescent yellow ground. The interior and base are covered with a transparent glaze.
