A CARVED OPENWORK INSCRIBED RUYI
The ruyi is carved in high relief and openwork to imitate an aged twisted lingzhi branch forming the elongated S-shaped handle, terminating with an upturned lingzhi-fungus head. It is naturalistically rendered in layers and detailed with crevices, the length of the handle incised with text.
