A CARVED BAMBOO 'SCHOLARS UNDER PINE TREE' BRUSH POT
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The cylindrical brush pot is supported on three shallow feet, carved on the rounded sides with a continuous landscape comprising three gentlemen seated at leisure enjoying tea and peaches underneath a gnarled pine tree, accompanied by two attendants.
