The candlestick has a bell-shaped base rising to a compressed globular knob supporting a wide drip pan with slightly flared sides and a smaller receptacle of the same shape above a long stem. The drip pan and base are each decorated with four of the Eight Buddhist Emblems, Bajixiang, amongst lotus blooms. The receptacle, stem and knob are enamelled with further lotus blossoms on tendrils, the foot with a band of keyfret on a pink ground. The reign mark is inscribed on the exterior of the drip pan.
