A PAIR OF WHITE JADE 'LIONS' SEALS
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
Each rectangular seal is surmounted by a recumbent lion with a patch of russet 'skin' on its head, featured with a large snout and thick bushy eyebrows, the sides of the seal incised with a band of keyfret. The seal face is left plain. The stone is of an even milky-white tone.
