A GREEK GOLD NECKLACE
LATE CLASSICAL TO HELLENISTIC PERIOD, CIRCA 4TH-3RD CENTURY B.C.
Composed of elements formed from conjoined ribbed tubes, joined to a backed sheet dome bordered by beaded wire, from which suspends a backed ribbed dome and a sheet disk, interspersed with elements formed of double spirals from which suspends a sheet disk, centered by a thunderbolt element edged by twisted wire and centered by a rosette of filigree twisted wire petals with a granule at the center, suspending similar ribbed and disk pendants; strung with modern spacers and a modern hook-and-loop closure
