A BYZANTINE GOLD NECKLACE WITH A GOLD AND GARNET PENDANT CROSS

Formed from a length of figure-8 loop-in-loop chain, the hook-and-loop closure with openwork disks, each fringed with beaded wire and centered by a single granule, with four plain wire volutes arranged within the disks; threaded through the ridged suspension loop of a pendant cross, the conical arms each capped with a dome centered by a pyramid of granules, fringed by beaded wire, centered by a plain circular bezel set with a flat garnet
