of tapering moulded circular form, on a spreading foot and with a shell-fluted rising curved spout, scroll handle and domed hinged cover with rococo baluster finial, the body decorated with a frieze of rococo flowers, scrolling foliage, scalework and trelliswork and with two cartouches, one engraved with a crest with motto, J. McKay, Edinburgh probably 1845 - 6¾in. (17.25cm.), 22.25oz.
