With slightly curved fullered single-edged blade double-edged at the point and finely etched with scrollwork, a crowned fouled anchor, the Royal arms, a crest and motto, and an inscription ‘THE HON.BLE F. WARPOLE R.N. FROM HIS DEVOTED SISTER RACHEL ETERNA FEDE’, gilt-brass hilt with worn sword-knot, and original black leather scabbard with gilt-brass mounts; together with A SCINDE RIFLE CORPS OFFICER’S SWORD, BY HENRY WILKINSON, PALL MALL, LONDON, NO. 5099, DATED ‘1843’, with etched blade, and steel hilt pierced with foliage (wear and corrosion marking throughout); and A BRITISH PATTERN 1821 LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER’S SWORD, MID-19TH CENTURY, with etched blade with ‘VR’ cypher, in steel scabbard
