With reblued nitro chopperlump barrels signed in full on the rib and numbered '3', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. cyl. and 1/4 choke, signed action profusely engraved with scrollwork and retaining traces of original case-hardened finish on the flats, reblued scroll engraved toplever numbered '3', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE', 15in. (38cm.) well figured stock including 1/4in. well figured extension, chequered butt, grip and fore-end, gold escutcheon engraved with the initials 'TA', and reblued border and scroll engraved trigger-guard, in original brass-cornered oak and leather single case lined in burgundy baize, the lid with black leather John Dickson & Son trade label with gilt lettering

The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed on 11 September 1908 for a Mr. D.S. Crawford

The vendor used this as the number 3 gun with the preceding Lot to form a trio
