Lot Essay

Accompanied by an A. Lange & Söhne Guarantee dated October 20th, 2007, an A. Lange & Söhne presentation box, product literature in a leather folder, tie tag, and outer packaging.

The 1815 Up and Down model was designed with A. Lange & Söhne's long-standing traditions in mind, particularly the use of constant seconds and power reserve. The 1815 series was created in honor of Mr. Adolph Lange, founder of the company, and the year he was born.

In 1990, Walter Lange, the great-grandson of Adolph Lange, re-established the family's watchmaking heritage. The present watch is number 35 in a limited edition of 50 examples with Mr. Walter Lange's signature engraved on the inside of the hinged case back.
