Lot Essay

The movement and dial were produced by the manufacturer in 1927. With the 1929, Audemars Piguet entered its most difficult period in their history, and the number of watchmakers employed by the company went down to 3 people by 1932. The present movement was finally sold to New York in 1952, 25 years after it's production, at the beginning of the postwar boom years.
