Two Silver Vases
The first with signature Shoami Katsuyoshi zo and the second with signature Fujibayashi Minechika and sealed, Meiji period (late 19th century)
Each similarly cast, chased and engraved with seigaiha pattern and two handles in the form of karashishi heads, the first with a flock of cranes amongst swirling clouds, details in gold, the second inlaid with cloisonné enamel plates of chrysanthemum flowers and further gold flowers on an engraved octagonal pattern ground, details in gilt, each stamped with an English import mark of 1922 and that of the sponsor's Catchpole & Williams Ltd.
