Lamqua, though best known for his Chinnery-influenced portraiture, also painted landscapes in oil. Patrick Conner illustrates a riverscape with Chinese inscription reading "[by]old Lamqua of Canton city" (Arts of Asia, March-April 1999, p 58); Christie's London sold another riverscape indistinctly signed "Lamqua" (5 November 2009, lot 44).
