These candlesticks are after the celebrated pair in the Wallace Collection attributed to Jean-Demosthme Dugourc on the basis of a 1789 drawing by him in an album of designs for the Comte de Provence and Madame Elisabeth. see F.J.B. Watson, Wallace Collection Catalogue, London, 1956, F1746, 175.
