MARK OF MATTHEW WEST, DUBLIN, CIRCA 1775
Hemispherical on three shell and hoof feet, sides chased with shepherd and flock crossing a bridge, a milkmaid and cow, a house and trees with crested cartouche and punched bead rim; a George III swing-handled navette sweetmeat dish by Solomon Hougham, London, 1793 with reeded rim and engraved band, later initial to central cartouche; a George III cream jug by Charles Chesterman (I), London, 1763, crested and embossed with rococo scrolls and flowers, gadroon borders; and a plain baluster cream jug with bead-punched rim and initials to front, by Charles Hougham, London, 1780
