Lot Essay

See C. Wainwright et al., George Bullock: Cabinet-Maker, London, 1988, pp. 66, 102, 104 and 105 for four cabinets with these distinctive brass door grilles, one of which encloses multiple small drawers. The use of goncalo alves and an inverted breakfront is also characteristic of Bullock (d.1818).
