Each vase oviform, painted to the front and back with a circular panel depicting scenes from classical mythology, titled in German to the underside, the peach-ground richly gilt and tooled with scrolling acanthus, husks, flowers, berries and torches, the neck and stand reserved with a broad band of claret ribbons alternating with orange diamond-shaped panels divided by pale-blue borders gilt with bead ornament
