FIRST HALF OF THE 16TH CENTURY, PROBABLY VALENCIA (MANISES)
The central raised boss with a foliate design reserved on a broad band of gold lustre, the well with two continuous bands of ovolos enclosing birds, the broad border moulded in relief with alternating leaves and stalks, reserved on a ground of flower-sprays and trefoils, the reverse with ferns and whorls centred by a rossette within concentric lines, pierced for suspension (two small rim chips, short hairline crack to rim, minor glaze flaking and wear)
