A GROUP OF EIGHT ENGLISH SILVER AND SILVER-GILT GOBLETS
VARIOUS MAKER'S MARKS, LONDON, LATE 18TH-MID 19TH CENTURY
Each fully marked, comprising a pair of goblets engraved with crest and gilt interior, 1799, maker's mark 'I.R'; another smaller pair with gilt interior, marked for Peter, Ann and William Bateman, 1800; an extra large goblet engraved with coat-of-arms and gilt interior, 1801, maker's mark 'WS'; a smaller goblet, 1801, possibly marked for John Denziloe; a short goblet with gilt interior, 1813, maker's mark indistinct; and another extra large goblet, 1832, maker's mark indistinct, also bearing French import mark; together with a pair of English silver small goblets with beaded base rims, marked for Elkington & Co., Birmingham, 1859
