CASE: The arched architectural case surmounted by a seated figure of Minerva, above a glazed panel centred by Apollo on a cloudbourne chariot with putti and maidens, signed to an enamel plaque 'Martinot/ A Paris', the angles cornered by female terms on toupie feet, atop a tapering waisted pedestal centred by a ribbon-tied trophy representing music and geography, the angles headed by espagnolettes, above a waved apron centred by a male mask, on scrolled paw feet DIAL: The gilt dial decorated in repoussé with a cockerel and foliate strapwork with enamel Roman chapters with blued steel hands MOVEMENT: twin barrel with Brocot escapement and continued strike, signed 'HF Paris/ 267', with pendulum
