Of disk form set on three feet, finely decorated in silver and shakudo hirazogan with geometric florets, a paulownia crest and a white sixteen-petal chrysanthemum crest of the Imperial Household on the body, the cover pierced with a phoenix, with a removable silver liner; seal on base
4¼in. (10.8cm.) diameter
With original wood box titled Kagazogan kiku kiri koro (incense burner with a chrysanthemum and paulownia inlaid in Kaga style) and signed Shiunso zo and sealed on reverse of lid
