White Porcelain Square Vase, 2013

The potter had a one-person exhibition at the Tong-In Gallery, New York, in 2004. He is currently a professor at Chungang University College of Arts. Inspired by the traditional beauty of Joseon-period white porcelain, Lee reinterprets its aesthetic quality in a modernist manner and demonstrates with great clarity the uniqueness of Korean white porcelain.
