Château La Mission-Haut-Brion 1961
Pessac (Graves), cru classé
Nicolas label. Very badly bin-soiled and damaged, remains of labels, two missing. Levels: five base of neck, one top, one upper-shoulder
Tasting note: Several notes, monumental, multi-dimensional. Most recently a mellow-looking magnum; rich, original, mocha, medicinal; dramatic, powerful, tobacco, rustic character, very tannic. Masculine as opposed to the elegant Haut-Brion. Last tasted Oct 2006 ***** M.B.
