Joseon dynasty (19th century)
The small, shallow dish painted in variegated lines and washes of underglaze blue with boughs of chestnuts and grasses centering an auspicious character meaning "good fortune" within double-line borders, the underside painted with three abbreviated leaf sprays and the circular foot encircled by a narrow blue line, the dish also applied with a glossy clear glaze of blue cast
