Gathering of Elders

This painting is an early twentieth-century replica of Kim Hongdo's (1745-after 1806) Gathering of Elders, 1804, formerly in the collection of Yi Dongju and now in a private collection (see Roderick Whitfield, ed., Treasures from Korea: Art Through 5000 Years [London: The British Museum, 1984], p. 209).
