A pair of Meissen (later-decorated) bottle vases
of faceted section and slender pear-shaped outline with tall slim necks, the facets painted in the style of J.G.Horoldt with chinoiserie figures at various pursuits alternating with turquoise-ground panels, enriched in gilt to the mouths of the vases with scrolls, blue crossed swords and cancellation marks, impressed Dreher's mark -- 6¾in. (17cm.) high, the porcelain 18th century, the decoration later (both with wear to enamels and gilt, small chips, neck to one vase broken and re-stuck with pieces lacking)
