Provenance
Yi Byeongjik (1896-1973)
A seal in the upper right of the painting, Song'eun, belongs to Yi Byeongjik, one of the most renowned Korean collectors of the first half of the twentieth century. He is said to have been from a court eunuch's family. It is unclear whether the other seal reading Eumpung nongwol is one of Yi's seals, but it is plausibly his in this context.
