With Jalandara seated on an animal skin at center, clad in a short dhoti and sash draped over the shoulder, flanked by a female attendant and a tiger, Konkana flying with a partner at top left, Suvarnadvipa reading at lower left, Kamala clutching a skull cup at lower right, and Tagapa working a loom at bottom center

Lot Essay

This composition is derived from an original set of paintings of Vajradhara and the 84 Mahasiddhas by the artist Khazi Lazo. This work is particularly rare for its depiction of the mahasiddha Tagapa working a loom.
