ATTRIBUTED TO THE SCHILLER PAINTER, CIRCA 380-370 B.C.
The obverse with Dionysos seated on a chair, raised on a dais, holding a kantharos in his right hand, a thyrsos in his left, a maenad standing behind holding a long tasselled fillet, in front a seated Eros holding a trefoil-lipped oinochoe in his right hand, plants and bucranium in the field; the reverse with three standing draped youths, palmettes and scrolling tendrils under the handles, band of laurel under the rim, ground-line band of meander interspersed with saltire-squares, details in added white and red
