A BEIGE AND RED SOAPSTONE SEAL
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The creamy-beige seal is of square section and is carved at the top with a smooth rock rising from wind-tossed waves supporting a reddish sun on one side. A two-character inscription, Yu Zhen, possibly the name of the carver, is carved on another side, and the base is carved in seal characters with a four-character seal, Shenhuang zhi yin (the seal of Shenhuang).
