A PURPLE-SPLASHED JUNYAO BOWL
YUAN DYNASTY (1279-1368)
The bowl is of deep, rounded, conical form and is covered inside and out with a thick, crackled blue glaze with faint purple-toned streaking, thinning to a mottled brown on the rim and where it ends above the unglazed foot on the exterior. A purple splash accentuates the interior.
