A HUANGHUALI SLATTED DAYBED
18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The daybed is comprised of five long huanghuali slats fitted into an A-form trestle frame at either end, with tenons left exposed. The splayed vertical trestle frame members are separated by two parallel stretchers near the base. A headrest at one end is slightly raised on two supports above the frame.
