AN UNUSUAL GOLD AND SILVER-INLAID BRONZE RECTANGULAR CENSER
17TH/18TH CENTURY
Raised on four cabriole legs inlaid with masks, the long sides are decorated with a dragon pursuing a flaming pearl amidst wind-tossed waves, while a pair of horses is shown amidst a similar wave ground at one end and two qilin at the other end. The everted rim is inlaid with a pattern of rounded waves. A Shisou mark is inlaid in silver wire on the base.
