TWO WHITE JADE SNUFF BOTTLES
1730-1860
The first, 1730-1800, is of well-hollowed, rounded form, carved on each side in low relief with a pair of confronting butterflies. The stone is of an even pale greenish-white tone. The second, 1800-1860, is carved in the form of a fish, grasping a long leafy lotus stem in its mouth. The stone is of pale greenish-white tone.
2 1/8 and 1 7/8 in. (5.3 and 4.5 cm.) high, coral stoppers (2)
