A GROUP OF THREE SNUFF BOTTLES
1750-1970
One is a red lacquer bottle, 1955-1970, of flattened, tapering ovoid form, carved on either side with a lady within a terraced garden. The second is a white jade bottle, 1750-1860, later embellished on either side with a pair of carved soapstone chilong, with mother-of-pearl flames and a pearl carved from soapstone. The third is an enamel-decorated gilt-metal filigree bottle, mid-20th century, decorated on one side with flowering wisteria vine, the reverse with grapevine.
2 1/8, 2½ and 2½ in. (5.2, 6.3 and 6.3 cm.) high, lacquer, jadeite and filigree stoppers (3)
