A PALE GREY JADE RECTANGULAR OPENWORK 'DRAGON' PLAQUE
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The plaque is well carved in layered openwork with a four-clawed dragon with backward-turned head amidst scrolling hibiscus stems that extend out onto the plain border. Together with a pale greyish-green jade oval plaque, Ming dynasty, carved in openwork with a dragon amidst scrolling, leafy stems like the one grasped in its jaws.
