A PALE GREENISH-WHITE AND BROWN JADE MOUNTAIN
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The mountain is carved in high relief and undercut on one side with a scholar and attendant standing below a pine tree on a path on the side of a mountain, with a stag standing on a lower ledge, and on the reverse with a pair of cranes standing above a rushing stream at the base of a terrace overhung by the large branch of a pine tree. The stone is smoothly polished and has areas of chalky white alteration.
