A PALE GREEN JADE CARVING OF A MYTHICAL BEAST
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The recumbent beast, shown resting on swirling clouds, has a bifurcated tail, and wings rising from the forelegs decorated with stylized 'C'-scrolls. The back of the beast is detailed with a band of key-fret between stylized hair markings. The stone is of pale green tone with minor buff inclusions.
