Poetry, Persian manuscript on gold-sprinkled paper, 184ff. as numbered plus 1 fly-leaf, each foilo with 12ll. of elegant black nasta'liq arranged in two columns with double gold intercolumnar rule, text within gold and polychrome rules on wide cream margins, opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated headpiece, colophon signed Muhammad Husyan al-Husayni and dated Rabi' I 988, first fly leaf with an owner's note written in Isfahan in October 1900, in later brown morocco with flap decorated with central stamped medallion issuing pendants, the doublures of black morocco

Another manuscript copied by Muhammad Husyan al-Husayni was sold in these Rooms, 6 October 2009, lot 105. Another work recorded as being signed by him is an abridged copy of the Khamsa of Nizami copied in Qazvin in AH 982/1574-75 AD, now in the Topkapi Museum (F.E. Karatay and J.M. Rogers, Topkapi Sarayi Muzesi Kutuphanesi, Farsca Yazmalar Katalogu, Istanbul, 1961, cat. no. 483).
