Gouache heightened with gold on paper, the seated figure holding a safina manuscript and prayer beads, blessed gold light emanates from a winged celestial figure above, set beneath cusped arches with arabesques on a pink balcony draped with a white textile, the margins with cusped cartouches containing a muhaqqaq identifying inscription, cartouches separated by small medallions with scrolling floral vine set between bands of strapwork, the outer margins with interlocking palmettes containing scrolling vine and with angels offering pearls above, the reverse with a portrait of a noble out riding with attendants carrying swords and wine cups, set in wide orange and blue margins, areas of flaking and repainting to the illuminated margins, mounted, framed and glazed
