OTTOMAN TURKEY, DATED AH 1293/1876-77 AD
Gouache and ink on paper, the two sides of the waterway filled with a series of domed buildings and stylised minaret towers, the waterway with large numbers of wooden sail boats and smaller steamboats most of which are flying the Ottoman flag, the lower margin with an identifying inscription in naskh and dated 1293, minor areas of water damage and small tears to the outer margins
