The inscriptions read as follow:
In Urdu and English, 'An Invocation to the Deity on the Top of the Queen's cenotaph below'
in English, 'Arabick Inscription from the Koran, on the Cenotaph of the King'
In Urdu and English, 'Invocations to the Deity on every side of Queen's Cenotaph below'
and in a later hand in English 'End of the Begum's Tomb [..]'
