Lot Essay

This manuscript seems to be a shortened version of Antiquities of the Jews, a major work on the history of the Jewish People by the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus (30-100 AD) composed circa 93-94 AD. The original twenty volumes were composed in Greek. The preface to the present manuscript indicates that it contains the description of the events between the Babylonian exile to the destruction of the Temple.
