Arabic manuscript on paper, 403ff. plus four fly-leaves, each folio with 6ll. of large black naskh script within gold-speckled cartouche, with Persian interlinear translation and commentary in small black nasta'liq script, with gold roundel verse markers outlined in black and blue, sura headings in white thuluth script on gold panel, text within black-ruled gold frame, marginal commentary in black nasta'liq script, with illuminated marginal circular medallions, some markers in gold thuluth script, catchwords, opening bifolio with illuminated cartouches and gold floral margins, preface in gold with dedication and date of copy, reverse of f.1 with various seal impressions, final folio lacking, in 19th century stamped reddish brown morocco binding

The preface written in gold ink indicates that this 'Qur'an was copied by Hafiz Habibullah, son of Hafiz Lutfullah and was presented as a gift by 'Abd al-Karim Najjar Bashi (Chief Carpenter) who bought it for the price of [...] in Peshawar on 1st of Dhu al-Hijja AH 1188 (2 February 1775 AD)'.
