On lightly flaring foot, with waisted drop-shaped body with a polychrome enamelled decoration consisting of interspersed floral sprays, the foot with inverted trefoils, the flaring mouth with pointed arches, the spandrels embellished with palmettes within medallions on scrolling ground, the base with maker's mark

Lot Essay

This small vase belongs to a series known as the 'Persian series' designed by Girard & Rehlender for J. & L. Lobmeyr around 1878. A vase from the same series in the Corning Museum of Glass (https://collection.cmog.org/detail.php?t=objects&type=all&f=&s=Lobmeyr& record=136).
