SAFAVID IRAN AND SIND, 17TH-19TH CENTURY
Comprising two Safavid cuerda seca pottery tiles, each inscribed in white nasta’liq or thuluth script on blue ground; and a large Sind moulded pottery tile, the thuluth inscription reading ‘al-salam’ (peace) reserved in white against blue ground between turquoise-blue palmettes
The largest: 11.1/2 x 9.3/4 in. (29 x 25 cm.)
