A PAIR OF GREEN TOLE-PEINTE AND BRASS CARRIAGE LANTERNS
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Each with a carrying-handle, adapted and fitted for electricity, minor differences; together with a pair of red tôle-peinte gondola lanterns, 19th century, later wired for electricity
The green lanterns: 21 in. (53.5 cm.) high; 10 in. (25.2 cm.) square
The red lanterns: 19.1/2 in. (49.5 cm.) high; 7 in. (18 cm.) diameter
Provenance
The green examples: The Royal House of Hanover; sold Sotheby's Germany, 15 October 2005, lot 5620 (part).
