AN UNUSUAL SILVER MODEL OF THE TEMPLE OF HEAVEN
20TH CENTURY
The model has a tapering staircase leading up to a square platform with balustrades to the sides. The centre has a tall three-tiered building of circular form, each section with openwork doors and windows. The underside has a star-shaped stamp and makers mark, Beijing San Yang Bao Zu Yin, which can be translated as, made by San Yang, Beijing, 'guaranteed to be silver'.
